Hellooooo :-)

Welcome to my blog for my delicious job Catherynne's Treats :-)

I did try to write this on Sunday night as it is now what I do on a Sunday night but Blogger was having some issues and would not let me upload any pictures which is kinda frustrating as there is no point in having a blog that I write about the newest things I have made if I cannot show you them!! Boo to Blogger.

So it is now working whooo so what I have been up to this week!

Well I have treated myself to some antique gold plated findings and chain ( all the bits you need to make deliciously pretty jewellery things with ) and oh my gosh I am totally in love with it. So far I have always used silver tone in my jewellery but I love the look of the antique against certain coloured beads so I headed on over to Ang's Attic and got all the things that I would need to use to make some fantastic jewellery!

So here we go this is the first piece I made using the antique gold a stunning long necklace teamed with some very very delicious large glass beads I just picked up and yup I sold almost straight away wheee!
I hope the lovely lady that bought it is enjoying it as much as I did making it!

The next thing I made was another necklace using the same findings and chain and butterfly ( I have never used a butterfly in my work before and only bought two but love them soo much and will be getting more yay ) I used some very contrasting turquoise beads flecked with brown and made it into a double strand necklace with the strands going up into the bottom of the butterfly.  In the middle of the top chain I decided to make a tiny little pendant using some of the fantastic turquoise beads and some tiny brown seed beads, and wow I am impressed! It hangs beautifully around your neck and will go with so many outfits and will make you the talk of the town wearing this!
I love making all sorts of things and deciding what goes with what and also what doesn't but these are a fabbylicious match made in heaven!
Come and have a look and let me know what you think below in the comments box!

I also made a bracelet to match the double strand necklace, and am offering a discount of £3 if bought together over on my page Catherynne's Treats

Photo: Here is a bracelet made with the same amazing turquoise beads speckled with brown as in my newest necklace, they have tiny brown seed beads and antique gold spacers in there too for good measure! It is finished off with a lovely lobster clasp <3
This is £10 including postage <3 xxx

So what are you waiting for hop on over and treat yourself today :D

I am signing off for the night, so stay tuned and go on treat yourself to some amazing handmade jewellery today! All of these are one of a kind and will not ever be made again!

Catherynne's Treats

Hey Hello,

Catherynne's Treats

This week it has all been about time in our house.
Hubby to be started his new job this week and he is at work a very long time so in turn I am getting lots of time too. Time to sit and relax on an evening, time to do my exercise DVD (this baby weight needs shifting for the summer to fit into THE most delicious wedding dress) time to think about things and do things that never seem to get done.
So with all this time in mind I am writing lists, lots of lists of things that need doing that I just don't seem to get done as I get to the end of the day most days and think what did I actually get done today!! Is anyone else like that, you get to the end of the day and think where did today go what did I achieve??

So with that in mind I have started a job I have wanted to do for a while re vamp some of my jewellery pieces I have either not worn for a while or ones that I am just not quite happy with.

So first off I bought just before Christmas 7 fantastic handmade lampwork glass beads from a lovely lady in America from her Etsy shop called Moonflowerbeads. There was a beautiful focal flower bead and some soft graduated pink to purple beads too. I made them into a necklace with some very pretty matching earrings but wasn't fully happy with it as I wanted to make them into a bracelet but hadn't quite figured out which beads I wanted to go with it. I liked it but didn't love it and only wore it once. So this was first on the list so out came my pliers and it was cut up into pieces.

So now the beads were now looking up at me on our dining table saying 'now what Catherynne'?
I stared at them for a while and the beads kept saying 'bracelet Catherynne, we want to be a bracelet' so I listened to them and strung them onto some new Waxed Irish Linen I had recently bought. I changed the small white beads I had originally put on as they were some very pretty miracle beads but they needed to be slightly bigger beads to fill out a bracelet so I changed them to some bigger but still white glass beads as I liked the softness of the lampwork beads with the white and there we have it done and very pretty bracelet that I am very happy with. So happy in fact that I made it on Saturday and am still wearing it now, now how is that for advertising your product!!

Here it is the finished product a very one of a kind beautiful bracelet. Much better than the necklace and a bonus too as I got to use an orphan bead I had in my bead stash for ages thus finishing off the end of the bracelet beautifully.

I have also used some of this time to make some things not just for me, I have also made a deliciously pretty bracelet for my Catherynne's Treats page over on Facebook that needs a new owner!
This is a memory wire bracelet which means it can be stretched out and will always bounce back to its original shape once wound round your wrist. I have filled it with a mix of fantastic lampwork beads, frosted glass beads, crackle beads, long tube spacers and finished off either end with a very pretty flower charm. This is available in my Etsy shop.

Take care and speak soon Catherynne

Hello and welcome to blog number for Catherynne's Treats  2 !!

Well I think my first blog went down alright. I enjoyed writing it and a few of you read it which is a good start although you should all subscribe to it as I will be writing more and then you can hear about my antics easily, whooo!!

I have decided to give myself a good job to do.  It is now the new year and I have been making jewellery for about 7 months now and I have learnt a lot of new techniques since starting so I have been looking through my box of made up jewellery and have taken out loads of it to take apart and re make into something much more different and hopefully much more snazzier for you to snap up and keep forever and look beautiful for you while you wear it.

I don't buy very many of the same beads again and again so the things that I do make are very usually a one of a kind piece.  So the things that I have got on my Treats page are mostly 99.9% unique and totally delicious ( I know I have made a LOT of jewellery for myself and get complimented on it loads too) for the person wearing them.  I also tend to buy things from a variety of different places too so the beads I have are always different but always beautiful though!

Right I am going to sign off now as I have rambled a bit and I need to get my two girlies into bed so I can make pretty things :-)

Take care and speak soon lovelies xx
